About Egyptian Astronomy...

To the ancient Egyptians, everything was alive.

Everything had spirit, and was all part of one enormous cosmic plan.

At the root of all of this power were the stars, moving through the Heavens, at the behest of the neteru, deities whose name would eventually become the root of our word "nature".

Since everything relied upon nature, the people of Kemet, as it was then known, looked to the goddess, Nut, to show them the way.

The sun counted days and the moon counted nights.
